Berserk (ベルセルク, Beruseruku) is a dark fantasy manga by Kentaro Miura.

Berserk's setting is inspired by medieval Europe. It centers around the life of Guts, an orphaned mercenary warrior, and his homoerotic relationship to Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the Band of the Hawk (鷹の団, Taka no Dan). The manga is noted for it's heavy violence and monster rape.

Guts invented DEEP in adult men before FFVII.

Now, this is a story all about how Guts' life got flipped-turned upside down. And I liked to take a minute, just sit right there. I'll tell you how I became the mercenary of a kingdom called Midland Air.

In west mercenary-camp born and raised, on the battleground was where I spent most of my days. Chillin' out maxin' slashin' all cool. Slashin' some nigras followin' the rules. When a one big guy who was up to no good, startin' making trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight and I got scared, he said, "You're gettin' raped, I'll hold onto your hair!"

Berserk being the best manga in the worldEdit

The most emotional scene in the series.

Berserk is often considered to be the greatest manga in the world by the black culture and 13-year-old boys. Prominent people of this fanbase are Amerowolf, Luke Groundwalker, Shirogetsu, and Kenshi. However most of the MFG community agrees that Berserk is not the greatest manga in the world but Naruto is instead saying that Berserk is "mediocre" and that they prefer Death Note over it like a buch of ignoramuses. The bastards.

Relation To MFGEdit

Kenshi's surrogate father wielding the Dragonslayer.

While MFG is a diverse gather of anime and manga fans, Berserk is well-known throughout the forums do to it's sizable fanbase at MFG. The troll Kenshi had an annoying passion for the series in almost all of his incarnations, causing several people to dislike Berserk by association. As a result, it is most commonly referred to as "beserk" by ignorants who have yet to outgrow their dose of shounen, such as Naruto and the like.
